About Dr. Ruhrold

Dr. Richard Ruhrold has earned Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Humanities for Villanova University and a Masters Degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1986 from the University of Michigan.  He is a licensed psychologist in the State of Indiana. He has worked in leadership roles for most of his four-decade professional career, including serving for nearly 30 years as the chief clinical executive for the largest behavioral health network in Indiana now employing over 1,300 staff and serving over 33,000 patients. Dr. Ruhrold played a key role in the organization’s clinical and financial growth and its transformation to a provider of both behavioral and primary physical healthcare. Dr. Ruhrold has supervised and mentored many leaders, supporting them toward greater confidence, success, and career satisfaction. Dr. Ruhrold espouses the model of “servant leadership,” an approach that prioritizes strong communication and the growth, well-being, and support of team members. He has presented many workshops, seminars, and webinars on wide array related topics.
